The southern Costa Blanca's beachfront offers picturesque long white sand beaches and cozy bays, and renown for it's water quality.
The Mediterranean Sea's climate with year-round sunshine makes it a healthy place to visit (or live) - and in combination with the salt lakes it gives relief to rheumatism and asthma sufferers.



The two large salt lakes, the lagoon of Torrevieja and La Mata form together an approximately 2,100 hectare of nature reserve, which in 1994 was placed under protection and serves mainly for the salt winning and as a bird protected area.

A newly designed and expanded bicycle path witch stretches altogether over five kilometers along a pine tree forest, reed areas, Eukalyptus trees, the vines of La Mata and the fresh water reservoir. Many people explore this area on horseback to really get the feel of itīs beauty and enjoy the pleasant quietness.

Thereīs plenty of places to visit, like Torrevieja, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia & Cabo Roig - all within easy travelling distance of each other.

These towns are full of restaurants, bars, markets, shops, leisure activities not to mention the nightlife!

Torrevieja
From the habour you can also board the Ferry for a trip to the island Tabarca.
The dock wall of Torrevieja is the longest accessible at the Mediterranean Sea and offers an entirely own view of the city. In the evenings you can stroll along the markets / flea markets at the Paseo Maritimo, Paseo de la Libertad or Paseo Vista Alegre or just take a plunge into the vast night life.

Cabo Roig
Cabo Roig is an exclusive resort on the southern Costa Blanca with fabulous, clean "blue flag" beaches and stunning views of the clear blue mediterranean. There is a superb cliff walk to La Zenia and there are many secluded coves where you can catch the sun with very little company, even in the high season. If you prefer to catch something a little different, the fishing is also very good Water skiing, wind surfing, jet skiing and boat-hire are other popular activities available in the area Cabo Roig enjoys over 300 days of sunshine each year Cabo Roig is easily accessible from both Alicante and Murcia airports, Murcia (San Javier) being the closest taking around 20 minutes by car.and it is only a five minute drive to the nearest motorway. Also in close proximity are 3 popular golf courses at Villa Martin, Campoamor and Las Ramblas, all within ten minutes drive. There are a huge variety of bars ( The Bog Road Famous Irish Bar) and restaurants in the area, particularly on Cabo Roig strip (sometimes called "Aguamarina strip") offering a wide range of cuisines including Spanish, Italian, French, Mexican, Chinese, Greek, Hungarian and of couse English and Irish.

Villa Martin
The wonderful plaza at Villa Martin is not far from the town house and is renowned for its resident parrots but more importantly for the abundance of good eating and drinking places. Within 10 minutes drive from the villa are the lovely beaches of Campoamor, la Zenia & Cabo Roig. The villa is within 3 Km of the N332 road at the Southern end of Torrevieja. Several supermarkets are only 10 minutes away. There is a large hypermarket (Carrefour) less than 15 minutes drive away. There are several Go-Kart tracks in the area, which are excellent fun & entertainment for all ages. A little further afield the renowned resort of Benidorm is well worth a visit as there are lots of places of interest for the tourist.
